Man Made Amazing Tiny Toad Hats for His Frequent Visitor
Mr. Toad likes to dress up in amazing tiny toad hats. At night he visits Chris Newsome’s home where he is styled with a new hat.
What started as a whim for 43-yr old Chris Newsome from Alabama, has become an overnight sensation – thanks to Mr. Toad’s hat modeling skills. Last summer, Mr. Toad began visiting Chris’ home every evening. Naturally, Chris decided Mr. Toad needed a hat and got to work building a pink top hat creation out of foam.
After testing it on Mr. Toad, Chris decided that he needed something more distinguished – next came the feather and monocle. We think he looks very debonaire!
A friend’s son had recently lost his pet toad and had taken interest in hearing about Chris’ visitor. In order to cheer the boy up, Chris decided to make another hat and send the photo to his friend’s son showing Mr. Toad alive and well.
Mr. Toad continued to return at night to see what new creation Chris had made for him. He definitely doesn’t seem to mind all the different styles!
Apparently very pleased with his new looks – Mr. Toad returned to Chris’ home after his winter hibernation. Chris has since been featured on numerous news and talk shows and has started a twitter account Toad Hat Guy to take suggestions for hat creations! On March 21, Chris featured the first of Mr. Toad’s 2017 hat collection, which Chris shared was for his Aussie friends – a Bush Hat! He looks a bit like Crocodile Dundee, doesn’t he?
We can’t wait to see what hats Mr. Toad is sporting in the coming months. Maybe a jesters hat or a captain’s hat! Thanks for the laugh, Chris!
