Little Girl Sheds Happy Tears Learning All Her Cancer Is Gone
Hazel has been fighting Relapsed Neuroblastoma for quite a while. When her scan results came back, the little girl was overjoyed to find her cancer is gone.
Hope For Hazel is a Facebook page that was started to support little Hazel Hammersley. Hazel was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer in 2013. She has gone through several years of chemotherapy treatments, radiation and surgeries. Her family has fought along side her through the roller coaster that is cancer.
Through the tough moments, Hazel has had an on-going network of family and friends (including social media followers who are considered “friends”) supporting her and praying for healing. In spite of a difficult path, sweet Hazel continues to be a charming bright spot for her family.
Lauren, Hazel’s mother, received big news from the oncologists regarding Hazel’s most recent scans. They filmed the moment that she was able to tell Hazel some much needed news – her scans showed no more cancer! Hazel was hesitant at first asking about specific locations of the cancer being clear. Then, when it sank in, little Hazel happily hugged her mother in joy.
“I can’t believe it!” Hazel said, jumping up and down in disbelief.
Lauren then wiped away the tears from Hazel’s face.
“I’ve got happy tears the same way you do!” she exclaimed.
We are excited for Hazel to have some good news and pray that her scans will continue to be clear and she will live a healthy, happy life!
