Freedom Cove might just be heaven on earth. This incredible floating island home is a great ambassador for off-grid living.
Artists Catherine King and Wayne Adams have spent the last two decades lovingly constructing their sustainable floating island home board by board.
Now 12 platforms including a dance floor, lighthouse-guest room, art gallery and 5 greenhouses grace their peaceful oasis near Vancouver, Canada.
Catherine and Wayne with their chihuahua(s) have found true peace living off-grid on their Tofino island. Both sculptors/carvers, Wayne and Catherine support themselves by selling their art pieces and living off their multiple gardens and local waterways.
Interested in seeing this visionary island experience for yourself? Modern Farmer says Catharine keeps enough food to feed eight people at any given time and gladly welcomes visitors. Of course, you have to hop a boat to reach them!
