Mom Of Triplets Has An Amazing Testimony
Heather Slaton knows firsthand that God can make all things work together for good. He did just that during an extremely difficult time in her life during her pregnancy with triplets. Her mom sent her a Bible verse that held such comfort and power for Heather during her grief. Then God performed an incredible miracle that left doctors speechless!
Heather desperately wanted to be a mom. She and her husband tried for years to get pregnant, but always without success.
Then, in 2011, their prayers were answered. The couple was overjoyed to find out Heather was carrying not just one baby, but three. She was having triplets!
A Powerful Verse
Their struggles were not over yet, though. The pregnancy was rocky right from the start. And so, Heather’s mom shared a powerful verse from Isaiah 40:26 in an attempt to help calm the worried mom’s nerves.
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.”
Heather was moved by the verse and beautifully decorated her Bible with it through the art of Bible journaling, an artistic way of spending time with God’s Word. And it provided a way to draw nearer to God when she started showing signs of a miscarriage and things got even scarier with her pregnancy.
The couple’s joy quickly turned to heartache as doctors confirmed they’d lost one of the babies. But the verse from Isaiah became especially powerful at the next ultrasound. You see, God was not done with Heather’s triplets. And what the doctors witnessed can only be described as a miracle, because there on the ultrasound screen were not two babies, but three!
