A family changed when it rescued a squirrel during a hurricane. A squirrel named Jill quickly found celebrity as the most known squirrel on social media!

Meet Jill.  She’s a camera-loving, home-body… squirrel.  Yes, you read that right.  In 2012, Hurricane Isaac came through Louisiana and took out Jill’s home. In what was supposed to be a temporary solution, the little squirrel rescuers took her to their home to recuperate.

But Jill had another idea – she quickly got comfortable in her new setting including becoming friends with the family cat and dog. It was soon realized that Jill would not be returning to the great outdoors but was now a indoor squirrel girl.

Jill has a big personality. She’s quite the ham and loves to pose on her climbing tree. Jill has her own large cage to call her own space but is frequently given free range of the house.  (No worries, Jill has been house-trained!) When she’s not taking long naps in cozy fabrics, Jill can be found playing with her friends (real and stuffed), eating, or lounging upside down in yoga-like poses.
