Weddings Can Be Stressful But Don’t Worry These Dapper Llamas Are The Perfect Fix
Looking for a new way to tackle wedding day stress? These Dapper Llamas are ready to add charm and joy to your special day.
Something old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something… from a farm? Two-legged guests are a thing of the past. Llamas are the new trend in wedding participants. Numerous sanctuaries and farms are offering their llamas and alpacas as a rental option for special events.
“Always decorated to compliment, our llamas can easily handle all ages, and any size of crowd.” boasts Mt. Peaks Therapy Llamas & Alpacas, located in Ridgefield WA.
What is unique about Mt. Peaks program, is that all of their proceeds go towards their Therapy and Education Program. Mt. Peaks was founded by mother and daughter team, Lori Gregory and Shannon Joy. Once certified in 2007, they began using Rojo their official therapy llama, as a way to connect with disabled or troubled youth. Through this program they have found a way to give back to the community and offer education regarding their herd, which is quickly growing in size.
Shannon Joy started the Instagram account Wedding Llamas and the rent-a-llama trend quickly took off. These professional animals come at a rate of $200-300 for a pair of llamas, depending on the requirements of the event: how far away and the length of time. Rojo and his friends are trained in greeting guests, posing for photo shoots, or even being ring bearers!
These fully-trained, dressy llamas are ready for the big day. Whether that means tying the knot, seeing a nursing home resident light up, or a disabled child smile. They are professional and excited to show off their stuff.
